India wins champion of Asia Cup hockey
India beat South Korea 7-2, winning the champion of 7th Asia Cup men’s hockey tournament in the Indian southern port city of Chennai Sunday night.
The Indian players displayed better performance than the Doha Asian Games champion South Korea in the final. Before the semi- final, India also defeated South Korea 3-2 in the heated match in Pool A.
Malaysia defeated Japan to finish the third place in the Asia Cup hockey, while China ended with the fifth place.
The Asia Cup hockey began on Aug. 31, with teams from 11 countries and regions in Asia.
